Have you ever heard of the Frasassi Caves? These large caves of stalactites and stalagmites open up before the visitor's eyes an extraordinary and evocative landscape, almost belonging to another planet.

These ancient limestone formations were discoverd relatively recently - just abourt fifty years ago - and the discovery continues with adjacent caves and new tunnels.
